I'm a UX/UI & Product Designer based in Naarm and I am a fanatic for all things design, problem solving, and probably coffee.
I babble, I dabble, I skate, and I relate.

Growing up in Woomelang on Wergaia Country, I always knew I wanted to take my passion for community and unleash it onto the world through creative problem solving.
It's no coincidence that design career led me into UX/UI design since empathy, strategy and experimentation has always been at the heart of what I do.
... and of course I like to do it all while being FABULOUS!!!

I told you I'm fabulous, where is the lie?

Being an out and proud genderfluid being has shown me that there is so much beauty in my queer community. I'm very passionate about getting involved in the community to cultivate a supportive space, improve intersectionality, create educational opportunities and drive change.
Queer Design Club & Summit
I'm an active member, mentor and mentee in the vastly growing Queer Design Club, an international club that aims to connect LGBTQIA+ creatives from around the world.
Last year we had a conference where a number of speakers drew from personal experiences in the industry as well as how to drive change in company culture and policy.
Public Speaking
I have used forums such as Toastmasters, Lightning Talks and discussion panels as a platform to educate my peers on queer history, culture and shared insights on how my peers can support my community.
Raising money and awareness
In my design life I'm a true believer in products being accessible for all users, and that we as designers ultimately falter if we neglect consumers based on their neuro-diversities and disabilities. Fundraising has always been a great opportunity for actively creating awareness and encouraging change for a cause that affects out community.
STEPtember was a great example of how I used my animation skills to be enterprising for this cause. My design team and I banded together and raised over $4K for people living with Cerebral Palsy, and that month I walked over 322,000 steps (is that a lot?).

Former President (2023 - 2024)
The Servianite & GOTO Toastmasters Clubs have been an excellent platform for me to structure my speeches and refine my communication skills while talking about a topic I'm passionate about.
In 2022 I was asked to be the Vice President of Public Relations and used my quirky drawings and marketing skills to advertise the club. The following year I was voted in as president of the club. The role demanded a lot of organisation skills, delegation, resourcefulness and optimism in order to retain membership and maintain interest.
I usually animate using a combination of After Effects, Clip Studio Paint, Wacom and Procreate. I find the art of composing an animation to be relaxing.
Even if the drawing between frames is choppy, there's still something wholesome and rewarding about drawing each frame.
I know right? Just when you thought I couldn't be more FABULOUS!!!
Same with composing an animation, there's something so zen about practicing make-up and putting together an outfit. And while I know my skills are a bit rough, I can definitely perform the house down!
I first dabbled in performing while living in Itaewon, one of the party suburbs of South Korea. My drag mother gave me the name Thoréal because at the time she thought I looked like Chris Hemsworth out of drag.
I describe Thoréal as a bit of a film noir rockstar; glamorous with costume-y makeup, dramatic and trick-reliant performance style. While living in South Korea I also worked in shows with a production company, in which they taught me burlesque and Kpop dance.
She'll make a proper appearance in Melbourne again once I've sorted my mug out.
